DAY 4 Europe retain the Ryder Cup

The European Team captained by Harry O'Garra and his vice-captain Will Eardley led their team to 4-2 victory over the challenging undulating Campo Real Golf Course. Europe were in a strong position after winning the opening four matches repaying their captain's faith in his playing order strategy.

The Tour Party return to Royal Obidos tomorrow for the business end of the week's golf, the first of the final two rounds which historically has been "moving day" for the Order of Merit placings. As things stand the top of the Order of Merit placings are:
